- As a child, played at the same club and shared the same coach with Mauresmo (although the two do not know each other well now as Coin went to study in the US)
- Graduated from Clemson University with a degree in mathematics; played tennis at Clemson, 2002-05; led them to back-to-back NCAA semifinals in 2004, 2005; also reached singles semifinals in 2004; was three-time ITF All-American at Clemson and ACC Player of the Year in 2004
- Was thinking of making 2008 her last year on Tour but after beating Ivanovic at US Open has reconsidered.
