Edman & Company to Represent Play Tennis Florida Magazine

DARIEN, CT -- Play Tennis Florida, the official magazine of USTA Florida and the voice of Florida tennis, announced today its partnership with Edman & Company, a national magazine publishers' representatives firm headquartered in Darien, CT., with additional offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oklahoma City.

Play Tennis Florida has a 50,000+ circulation in-home distribution to USTA Florida members and Florida tennis country clubs, with an estimated readership of 150,000.

"Tennis is on a national upswing and Florida is the hottest tennis state," said Edman & Company CEO Rick Edman. "Play Tennis Florida is a great luxury demographic, with the majority of subscribers living in country clubs and purchasing high-end consumer goods. The redesign and relaunch of the official USTA Florida publication has been well received and we are happy to be a part of it."

Edman & Company have represented advertising clients such as Aetna, Canon, Capital One, Chevrolet, Cingular, Citibank, GlaxoSmithKline, Ikea, LL Bean, Marriott, Morgan Stanley, Northwest Airlines, Ocean Resorts, Oil of Olay, Procter & Gamble, Ricoh, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Sheraton Hotels, Sony, Sprint, Starwood Hotels and Trump Marina Casino among others.

"We are excited to work with the company that contributed to the original launch of the national TENNIS magazine, and has experience in the industry," said Play Tennis Florida Publisher Richard Vach. "National advertisers are taking advantage of reaching the Florida luxury-buying market at a tiny CPM compared to other publications."

The official USTA Florida magazine has a 17-year history and was relaunched in January 2008. Florida hosts three professional events: the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami which features both men and women, the men's Delray Beach ITC, and the women's Bausch & Lomb Championships in Amelia Island, as well as numerous USTA national adult and junior championships. Florida is also home to the USTA National High Performance Training Center in Boca Raton, housing the nation's top coaches with a responsibility for turning out the next generation of American champions, in addition to the country's top private tennis academies.
