The Tennis Channel will feature former Grand Slam semifinalists Jelena Dokic and
in The Mirage Cup, its inaugural women's tennis tournament, Feb. 27-March 5.
Dokic paces the field and has been ranked as high as No. 4 in the world, with career wins over
Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Monica Seles and
Venus Williams. Stevenson, meanwhile, has defeated Jennifer Capriati,
Elena Dementieva,
Anastasia Myskina and Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario.
The Mirage is the official hotel and casino of the 2006 Tennis Channel Open, as well as the title sponsor of the event's women's ITF tournament in Las Vegas. The Mirage also will host the men's tournament draw ceremony Friday, Feb. 24 and the player party Sunday, Feb. 26.
