Rafael Nadal pulls after winning Wimbledon with sore knees, so Richard Gasquet remains the lone Top 10 participant, joined by fellow seeds Nicolas Almagro, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Simone Bolelli, Agustin Calleri, Jose Acasuso and Eduardo Schwank.

Struggling comeback player Guillermo Canas received a wildcard and opens against the No. 8-seeded Schwank.

Top-seeded Stan Wawrinka, the newest member of the ATP Top 10, will get the homecountry support -- and after a bye receives the cake draw, facing one of two wildcarded countrymen in either Robin Roshardt or Stephane Bohli.

Also seeded are Paul-Henri Mathieu, Mikhail Youzhny, Ivo Karlovic, Andreas Seppi, Nicolas Kiefer, Igor Andreev and Guillermo Canas.

Mardy Fish headlines a field of players all ranked outside the Top 35 on the lawns at the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Joining Fish among the seeded players are Fabrice Santoro, Nicolas Mahut, Igor Kunitsyn, John Isner, Donald Young, Frank Dancevic and Kevin Anderson.

American Taylor Dent, attempting to return from a back injury, was granted a wildcard and debuts against Dancevic.

Bastad, Sweden, Red Clay

The toughest field in the four-tournament week (first time the ATP has ever had four tournaments in a week, due to the Beijing Olympics) features a strong claycourt field in top-seeded David Ferrer and former French Open champ Carlos Moya, in addition to fellow seeds Fernando Verdasco, Tommy Robredo, Tomas Berdych, Jarkko Nieminen and Robin Soderling.

Gael Monfils was seeded but withdrew due to injury.

Also in the draw is former No. 1 Marat Safin and former Aussie Open winner Thomas Johansson.
