It's the final Grand Slam of the tennis year, and arguably the biggest and the best. The 2013 US Open in Flushing Meadow, NY, just outside of New York City is the No. 1 place for tennis in North America.
With over 250 of the best players in the world and fans coming from all four corners of the globe to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center, the tennis promises to be some of the best and most memorable of the year.
All the big names are expected including defending champion Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro. Among the women include past champions Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka all bidding for the one of the biggest and most prestigious prizes in all of tennis.
The tournament runs from Monday August 26, which is Arthur Ashe Kids' Day in Arthur Ashe Stadium, until the men's finals on Monday, September 9. That's right, a special Monday final! Tickets are not the easiest to find, especially if you looking to buy cheap or discount tickets for the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. But often a good deal will come up.
