The US Open Series summer hardcourt begins at Indianapolis the week of July 14 in Indianapolis, Indiana, home of the 2008 Indianapolis Tennis Championships.
The Indianapolis Tennis Championships Presented by Lilly is a world-class ATP Tour tennis event held annually in Indianapolis, and is a part of the Olympus US Open Series. The event, which traces its roots back to 1920, has hosted such notable players as Pete Sampras, Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick.
This year the field includes American stars James Blake, Robby Ginepri, Sam Querrey, Donald Young, John Isner along with international contenders like Tommy Haas, Fabrice Santoro, Dmitry Tursunov and Gilles Simon.
The tournament is held at the Indianapolis Tennis Center, just a short walk from the center of the city. This year’s edition runs from July 12-20 and tickets for the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals are often difficult to buy. But if you act quickly you can still get some deals on some good, cheap tickets.
