One of the premier stops on the US Open series in the Cincinnati Western and Southern Financial Championships, held from August 8-23 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

The announced field for the 2009 Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women's Open is the strongest in the 111-year history of the event.

The women kick off play first, and 18 of the top 20 are in the field led by Serena and Venus Williams, Dinara Safina, Ana Ivanovic, Maria Sharapova and the return of Kim Clijsters.

The men's tournament is equally loaded with all the top names including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and James Blake.
