Vamos Rafael

by Sean Randall

A big VAMOS to Rafael Nadal, for somehow sticking together and beating Roger Federer YET AGAIN!

For Federer, this is of serious concern. Remember the only time Fed has beaten Rafa was last year in Miami when Nadal choked a two set lead, otherwise it would be Rafa 4-0.

Fed played about as well as he could have against Nadal in that first set, but the Spaniard just hung around and as Fed did at the Australian Open in the later rounds the Swiss couldn’t sustain his level of play. More troublesome for Fed is that Rafa is likely not in peak shape after a foot injury and hard is not his best surface.

Logic dictates that if Fed can’t beat Rafa on hard courts how is he going to beat him at the French on clay?
