Tarnish American Wayne Odesnik is still playing tennis. It was learned just a few weeks ago that the 24-year-old was a caught transporting human growth hormone (HGH) while trying to enter into Australia in January.
Faced with a two-year-old doping suspension and much outrage from his fellow players, Odesnik is still playing tournaments, including the Houston clay tournament which begins on Monday.
In the first round Odesnik will play someone I’ve never heard of, 19-year-old Jerzy Janowicz of Poland.
I have to scratch my head as the last place I’d want to be if I was him would be out on a public tennis court until the case is settled, but I give him some credit for getting out there and trying. I guess he’s willing to take the heat.
