Maria Kirilenko Hits a Moonball Winner vs. Kuznetsova [Video]
by Tom Gainey

This is one of those show-me-the-proof-because-I-don’t-believe-you posts. So here it is. Watch below and you will really see Maria Kirilenko hit a CLEAN MOONBALL WINNER against Svetlana Kuznetsova in Rome on Tuesday.

I admit, it’s gimmicky (I think the ball hit the line) but a shot I doubt you will ever see hit again. Kuznetsova went on to drop the game and the one thereafter to lose the match, but it’s hard to blame after that embarrassing miscue.

Sean Randall Says:

Marvelous. You can remove Kuznetsova from the prospective list of French champions.

mmm Says:

That was funny. It just bounced up high on her (maybe because it hit the line) & could’ve happened to anyone. But I agree with Sean that Sveta will not be a favorite to win the French. Jankovic is looking pretty good and Henin will also be a threat.

Andrew Broad Says:

LOL! Kuznetsova is the worst player ever to win a Major!
