Gulbis recorded a win on clay over world No. 1 Roger Federer at earlier at Rome, and stretched Rafael Nadal in a three-set loss at the same event.

Gasquet, Sharapova, Dulgheru, Argentina Win Titles Entering French

Maria Sharapova won her second title of the year on Saturday at Strasbourg, topping first-time finalist Kristina Barrios 7-5, 6-1 in the final. Sharapova was down a break late in the second set but got on top to win 10 of the last 11 games.
