Novak Djokovic, Gael Monfils Make Cameos in Martin Solveig’s “Hello” [Video]

Here’s a fun video from talented French music producer Martin Solveig. The song is “Hello” and the video was shot at the French Open grounds on the eve of the 2010 tournament.

It’s seven minutes long but worth the experience. And near the end tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Gael Monfils make cameo appearances. Mathilde Johansson also star as a lineswoman and Olivia Sanchez in also in the clip.

According to Solveig, ‘Hello’ follows the story of a DJ who is in training because it takes “a lot of skill and a lot of energy to become a DJ”. Spurred on by the off-the-wall plots of his manager, French DJ Gregory Darsa, Martin finds himself unwittingly staged on centre court for the match of his life against Bob Sinclar. Sinclar is a seasoned pro, and Martin’s inexperience on the court shows – that is, until the love of his life shows up. But things of course don’t always run so smoothly… all’s fair in love and war, right?”

Enjoy it.

The “style” of the video is very cute – the one player a little like a shorted haired Borg and his rival – in neons with long hair – a little like Agassi. Very cute. Of course “She” turns it all around? Or was it the call?

Ha ha – Nole shaking the ump’s chair. I’d love to see a player do that for real. Monfils – the spoiler!! LOL.

Thanks for posting that.

Jake Willens Says:

Gael needs to stop having so much fun off the court and actually put in the work to live up to his potential on it.
