Juan Martin Del Potro spoke to the press at Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires on Thursday just before leaving for Bangkok.

The smiling Del Potro said the hand is well and he is happy to be back playing tennis again. He will play his first tennis event since his Australian Open loss to Marin Cilic. So smile away JMDP.

In Bangkok starting Monday, Del Potro begins his comeback against Olivier Rochus. But in the quarterfinals he could meet current US Open champion Rafael Nadal!

happy to see juan martin back. Tom, so true about the smile.

It is all waiting to be seen what delpo can do in his first tourmament back. he is coming back from a very serious injury. i am guessing his come back will be very slow…i will be surprised if he manage to reach the qtr final to play with the bull (rafa).

regardless of his perfomance, i am soo glad to see him back. Just wishing him all the best. hopefully him and his team have come up with new strategies to make sure this injury does not re-occur.
