Caroline Wozniacki arrived in Sydney for the Medibank WTA tournament. A day after a surprising 61, 60 loss to Vera Zvonareva in a Hong Kong exo, Wozniacki was in good spirits as she prepares for the upcoming Australian Open.

In her pre-tournament press conference Caroline talks about taking 15 days off during the off season, her trip to Thailand, fandom in Denmark, the match with Vera, playing bowling with elephants and her continued quest for a Grand Slam title.

“I’ve lost in the finals and semifinals of the Grand Slams before but hopefully I will be able to take the next step sooner rather than later,” she said.

The top-seeded Wozniacki has a bye with either Dominika Cubulkova or Maria Kirilenko in her first “real” match of the season. Vera Zvonareva, Kim Clijsters and Samatha Stosur are the 2, 3, 4 seeds, respectively.
