by Tom Gainey

Novak Djokovic’s big Australian Open triumph Sunday over Andy Murray set off a round of celebrations back in his homeland of Serbia.

“I’m proud as a father who is in every way surpassed by the eldest son. Marko and Djordje will soon follow his steps. I’m sorry we were not able to be with our son in Melbourne like three years ago when he won his first Grand Slam trophy. I’m sure that Novak will get to the top of the ATP rankings till the end of this year,” said Srdjan Djokovic, Novak’s father.

Congratulations to Novak and his fans for a very impressive performance in Melbourne.

Djokovic is schedule to play in Rotterdam starting Monday, then Dubai on the 21st.

All that folk music, lol! But, wow; it looks awfully cold there, and I am in Canada saying that. Go inside and celebrate people. :)

Bojan Says:

Yea its gypsy music mixed up with some folk. Personally not a fan, at all, :). They should of put the music Novak was listening in the players dressing room in Melbourne. A real Serbian slavic traditional music. Not this half arab, half gypsy half God knows what if you can call it music!!!

jane Says:

Yup, serbs love their folk music, the thing has been the same for hundreds of years and never changes… trumpets are the foundation and a synthesizer LOL, and on top the horrible female singers who pull the end of words…

U.S. is blacking out some of our favourite streaming sites. Haven’t they got more important things to do such as economy, security etc?

Are there any streaming sites based outside of US? and can they seize them too?

jane Says:

^ blank – horrid news! Dang money-grubbers. Just when you thought democracy was alive and well on the internet, here comes the clampdown! No kidding about “more important things to do”. Better stop us bad people from watching “copyrighted” sports programs, god forbid! ARRRRRGHHH.

Nina Says:

Djokovic’s daddy already putting pressure on his son. Hmmm…

VE Says:

The first video was from Melbourne actually, as Djokovic went through post match press. You can see Rod Laver Arena in the background.
