Rafael Nadal Signs Up for Twitter

Rafael Nadal is expanding his social media presence. Earlier this morning, Nadal made his first official twitter tweet on his account @rafaelnadal:


Hi all! I have Twitter profile! I am thrilled to have your support here! You’ll hear more from me ;) Rafaless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

As of now, Nadal has already gained over 33,000 followers. Nadal joins current No. 1 Novak Djokovic (@djokernole) and Andy Murray (@andy_murray) on the social messaging service. Roger Federer has opted to not be part of twitter.

Nadal’s facebook page has almost 8 million likes.

Nadal and his fellow Top 10 mates will all be in Montreal next week for the Rogers Masters.

It’s great that all these guys reach out to their fans this way. You cam totally get a sense of some of their personalities too, like Nole, Murray and Dr. Ivo all have definite “tones” to their twitters. :) Haven’t seen any of Rafa’s yet, but will be checking it out.
