Mikhail Youzhny apologized to his fans for his early poor performance on Saturday by inscribing “Sorri” in the red clay after finally getting on the scoreboard ending a nine game losing streak to start the match.

“There was a lot of people. That’s why I write ‘sorry.’ Because I can’t show them a nice game,” Youzhny told the AP. “The way we played in the beginning, it was not really interesting for people.”

Ferrer, who went on the with the third round match 60, 62, 62, said he didn’t see the drawing. “I didn’t see it,” said Ferrer. “I was very focused in the match, and it was funny. It was funny now, because I won. I’m very happy.”

Ferrer hasn’t lost a set yet and he’ll now play countryman Marcel Granollers on Monday.
