Juan Monaco strapped into a tournament car at the French Open as part of a “Road to Roland Garros” feature. During the light-hearted, softball Q&A, Monaco was asked a number or questions including if he could imitate Maria Sharapova. The Argentine obliged letting out a bird-like screech mimicking the Sharapova grunt.

Monaco earlier today didn’t lose serve in a 5-set thrilling win over powerful Milos Raonic. A fatigued Monaco, who reached the Miami semifinals in March and won Houston in April, now meets good friend King of Clay, Rafael Nadal.

“He’s one of the players I really like on the tour. I really get on well with him,” Nadal said of Monaco. “We know each other very well, personally speaking, but also from the point of tennis. We spend a lot of hours together. We practise very often together. So we both know what we’re going to try and do when we play together. We’ll try and be very aggressive. We’ll try and speed up and change gears. And we’ll see who’s going to win.”

Rest up, Juan, you’re going to need all the energy you can muster. And make sure you use transportation getting to the club on Monday for that match.
