Caroline Wozniacki was at the Masters today caddying for longtime boyfriend Rory McIlroy during the traditional par-3 event. The two former No. 1s of their respective sport had some fun at Augusta and at one point McIlroy let Caroline try a shot off the tee at the 9th. Unfortunately for the Dane, much like her attempts at winning Majors, it failed miserably.

The shot went about 5 feet right into the water.

“I don’t remember that,” Caroline confessed when asked about the try. “Do you remember that?” she asked her beau.

“I do actually,” responded Rory. “The divot nearly went farther than the ball. She wasn’t warmed up… They get second serves in her sport.”

McIlroy, who’s the second favorite behind four-time champion Tiger Woods, enjoyed having Caroline along for the ride today.

“She did well,” he said. “She did great. It was just great to have her right there. It was a nice way to spend a Wednesday afternoon. You know, it’s her first time here at Augusta, and I just wanted to show her a good time and I think she really enjoyed it.”

Added Caroline, “I just enjoyed it. It was my first time out here, so, you know, it was just a great experience.”

Earlier in the day Wozniacki had actually invited John Isner to come to the Masters, forgetting the American was in Houston for an ATP event which was hit by rain today.

Wozniacki isn’t the first former world tennis No. 1 to play caddy for a day at the Masters. Two years ago Andy Roddick accompanied Zach Johnson around the course during the same par-3 exo event.

alison Says:

They are a cute couple no doubt about it,but why isnt she practising her tennis, trying to improve her lack lustre game, she works hard and has the heart for a fight on a tennis court, shame though as she has no big weapons to challenge the likes of Serena,Sharapova,Azarenka etc.

RZ Says:

That’s why she plays tennis, not golf. :-)

Gordon Says:

I think it is so touching how after he won his first professional tournament he – with emotion – thanked his high school sweetheart who had been at his side through thick and thin, during times of no money when she was there to support him as he trained relentlessly and now…

Of course, he discards her like yesterday’s trash and upgrades to the blonde trophy girlfriend.

alison Says:

I dont care for Wozniaki as a person, but the thing i do like about her on a tennis court is she loves a good fight.

Wog boy Says:

Gordon, that happens to all of us for one or the other reason and we don’t have to be famous or rich. Haven’t we all were discarded at some point in our lifes, or maybe discarded someone ourselves when they (we) achived certain goal?. Sad but true, life goes on.
What goes around, comes around.

Humble Rafa Says:

Nice to see that world has gotten over two men hugging each other in public. So much love there, good for them. They are a good looking couple.

contador Says:

After reading your post HR, I had to take another look! I see what you mean but she’s cute in a baseball cap, no?

In other good looking couple news, I have to say, poor choice of a bf, Lindsay Vonn :(

BadaBing Says:

What she sees in him I will never know.
