Humble Rafa Says:

That picture shows 2 telephone poles trying to hug each other.

TennisVagabond.com Says:

Ahhhh, HR, that funny

jane Says:

That’s nice … congrats Nole & Jelena!

M Says:

So lovely. Congratulations to the happy couple!

contador Says:

Very happy for them! Congratulations!

Michael Says:

Advance congratulations to Novak for a healthy, prosperous and happy married life. In my opinion, it is too early to marry and father a child. But Novak has placed his personal life much above Tennis and he is readily entitled to it. I am not sure how much of a impact this marriage and father time would have on his career. Hope it impacts him in a positive way. He is still 27 and has four good years to go in Tennis. I hope Novak still makes major advancements in his Tennis career and come out with flying colours.

Michael Says:

How much symbolic it would be for Novak if he could win this year’s Wimbledon and then marry Jelana. That would be pretty much like a wedding gift to her. I hope Novak fires all cylinders and become a Champion in this edition of Wimbledon which I hope he definitely can.

metan Says:

Congrats to Nole and Jelena. Hope you both get nice wedding ceremony and party.

Colin Says:

No invitation for Rafa?

Gordon Says:

It took me a long time to warm up to this guy, but he is truly now a class act and a fine ambassador for the sport.

I’m not expecting his game to slip.

You can be sure he is leaving all the wedding plans and details to Jelena as he concentrates solely in defending his title in Wimbledon.

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials, Nole!

Okiegal Says:

No invitation for Fed?

Haven’t seen Tipsy in a tourney lately……is he hurt?

Margot Says:

Hope they’ll have a gr8 life together :)
@Gordon
“Defending his title in Wimbledon” Um….. that’ll be Andy won’t it?

M Says:

@Michael – “I am not sure how much of a impact this marriage and father time would have on his career. Hope it impacts him in a positive way.”

It seems to be working fine for Roger – he is in his 9th Halle final.

M Says:

I am a little confused, though – I saw here that N & J may be getting married this weekend. Will there be two ceremonies, maybe?

Okiegal Says:

@Gordon

Who won Wimby last year……I’m confused??

Michael Says:

M,

The truth is that Father time did unsettle Roger’s prosperous career in a limited way. But he overcame it to become the World No.1 yet again in 2012 which is a phenomenal feat. However, in 2013, his preciptious decline yet again started from which he is yet to recover. Roger has made the Halle finals and congrats to him. So far, so good. He needs this title (even if it is only 250) badly to lift his sagging spirits ahead of Wimbledon. Everybody is hoping that Roger will make that one last breakthrough at Wimbledon this year and so expectations are much higher. As regards Novak, I think he is marrying a bit too early and attained Fathertime sooner than expected. In the interest of his career, he could have postponed his personal interests a little bit longer. But, having taken a decision, now we can only hope that all these ventures impacts him only positively. What else a good fan can hope for ?

calmdownplease Says:

` Everybody is hoping that Roger will make that one last breakthrough at Wimbledon..`

If by `everybody` you mean his fans then you are correct.
Clijsters had a little rug rat on the court with her in her glorious US Open comeback, and she had to do the all heavy lifting on that one!
So I dont think it will cuase more than a ripple, he has to hope that ripple occurs outside of a slam.
#%

M Says:

Jelena’s not due till after the US Open.

“Clijsters had a little rug rat on the court with her in her glorious US Open comeback, and she had to do the all heavy lifting on that one!”

LOL. I remember that. Cute. :-)

Colin Says:

Speaking of engagements, did you folk see that Monika Seles is to marry a 72 year old guy?

I usually abstain from do-it-yourself psycho analysis, but as she lost her father to cancer when she was young, I wonder if she’s seeking a father figure (she’s 40). Of course, it helps that he’s a billionaire!
