Novak Djokovic Questions A Line Call During Practice [Video]
by Tom Gainey | August 8th, 2015, 10:24 am

Just for fun, Novak Djokovic questioned a winner of the racquet of 26-year-old Philip Bester yesterday during a practice session in Montreal.

Bester slapped what looked like a backhand winner, but the World No. 1 wasn’t convinced so he took a closer, “Hawk-Eye” like look at the mark.

Sounds like the Canadian Bester got the point. “Home cooking”, joked Novak.

Djokovic is the top seed at the event. In his first match since his third Wimbledon title, he plays the winner of Thomaz Bellucci-Pablo Cuevas in his first match.

nice to see him practicing with a local. ;)

Do we really need a new thread for THIS?? Tennis X running out of topics?

Thought I heard “home court advantage”. Not home cooking.

Djoker is pretty good as a champion doing these practice session things. Tries to get some juniors, some handicapped players, lower ranked Tour players including doubles and veteran players and host country players with him for some court time. Media, and as much as he can, fan accessible. Up there with Federer in that regard.

Not that there isn’t serious practice going on, of course, but it isn’t 4 hours of grim focus only on skill improvement and conditioning.
