One more top ATP player joined the ranks of married men this weekend. On Saturday, David Ferrer and longtime girlfriend Marta Tornel were married in Valencia.

The ceremony was reportedly attended by a small gathering of 200 guests.

The two met in 2008 via Ferrer’s former coach Javier Piles.

Rafael Nadal wasn’t on hand because he was at Marc Lopez’s wedding which was also this past weekend.

Giles Says:

Many congratulations to David and Marc.

J-Kath Says:

Happy for you David. You are a star in so many ways.

RZ Says:

Big props to David on that suit. Nice threads!

Okiegal Says:

Happy for David and his new bride. He looks so handsome and she is gorgeous. Love her dress, simple and yet elegant and his attire did not look like a tux but wow, it was sharp! I like the suit/vest look better than the tux. Happy for them! Feli, Marc and David…..There must be something in the water in Spain!

Okiegal Says:

Congratulations to Marc also. Didn’t mean to ignore him completely. His bride is beautiful too! Gorgeous wedding party. They all cleaned up nicely! I believe I like David’s attire better than the tux…but they all were looking good!!I hope each couple have long happy marriages!!

@RZ…..hadn’t notice until now, you liked David’s attire too. Me, you and David have good taste….or maybe his wife does….She probably picked it out for him….You know how us women folk are…all bossy and controlling! WOMEN RULE!!!! Lol

Good luck to the newlyweds, they gonna be needing it!!

danica Says:

Best wishes and many congrats to both happy couples!

Gypsy Gal Says:

Congrats to Daveed and Marc and their better halves, who both look stunning, and the guys look handsome and clean up well in suits….

Humble Rafa Says:

Isn’t ironic that I am not getting married but my 2 best amigos are getting married on the same day.

Xisca takes care of business but is not wife material.

Okiegal Says:

Xisca is long suffering….I don’t imagine she wants to marry until Rafa retires. She has a career too and must be a well adjusted woman who can be away from her guy, be happy and live her life. I think she must be very ambitious and driven. Her career seems to be very important to her as well. I can see why she is patient, this guy is probably the most popular man in Majorca!!

Gypsy Gal Says:

Right on Okie, you know it p*sses me off sometimes with the crap some people spout,i often wonder if its a tennis forum or relationship guidance, poor Rafa aint married, poor Xisca hasnt got kids yet etc etc,has it not occured to some that like both have already stated that although they are in a happy commited relationship, they are both focuesd on the respective careers, none of the Nadal men got married till into their 30s,Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel have never married and have been together for years, and even the kids dont care they are not married, its certainly no guarantee a relationship will last anyway,im sure even if they leave it late to start a family the Nadal family are still rich enough to have Xicas eggs frozen if need be,Rafa has stated he wants kids and marriage after his career, yet the whole thing seems lost on some people for whatever reason….

Purcell Says:

It’s no good congratulating David and Marc on this site as I’m pretty sure they don’t read it. Let’s just say I’m very happy for them and their new wives and let’s hope their marriages are long and content.

RZ Says:

Purcell – true. They are probably on their honeymoons. But I’m sure they will check Tennis-X as soon as they are back to see what we all think. :-)

Okiegal Says:

@Gypsy…Wow, you thought of everything…..frozen eggs??? Cute! They always seem so happy when you see pictures of them snapped by the paparazzi. She can’t trail around with him all the time, career wise. I think she was at the WTF with him this year. I don’t think she ever goes to Australia, but you do see her in the crowd at USO, French Open and Wimby and a few of the smaller ones…..yep, she’s a well adjusted gal!!
