Serena Williams will be seeking a fourth French Open title next week at Roland Garros, and she’ll try to do it as the tournament’s top seed for a sixth time after 2003, 2010, 2013-2016.

Thanks to Flavia Pennetta’s retirement and Maria Sharapova’s doping suspension, Serena’s BFF Caroline Wozniacki secured the 32nd seed. The Dane, however, has been recovering from a ankle sprain leaving her participation in some doubt.

French Open seedings are based on this week’s WTA Rankings.

RZ Says:

Vika dangerous as a #5 seed (assuming her back heals up on time). Hopefully she will stay out of Serena’s quarter.

BBB Says:

I knew she was hurt but wasn’t sure what – what kind of back injury?

I would like Vika so much if her whooping noises weren’t so irritating.
