Notes: Monfils the lone Top 10er among the six French seeds of the total eight…The Top 4 seeds receive opening-round byes…Kyrgios is back on tour after not playing the NBA All-Star Game…A couple tantalizing match-ups in the first round as (8) Paire faces the Russian riser Medvedev in a first-time meeting, and (5) Zverev sees the serve-and-volley game of Mahut for the first time…The wildcards were spread out between France’s Julien Benneteau, Canada’s Denis Shapovalov, and Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas…Grigor Dimitrov and Mischa Zverev pulled from the tournament…Mahut is the top seed in doubles with fellow Frenchman Julien Benneteau…Kyrgios is the defending champ, beating Marin Cilic in last year’s final…Former champs in the field are Kyrgios (2016), Simon (2015,’07), and Tsonga (2013,’09)…Marc Rosset and Thomas Enqvist are the only players to win the tournament three times.

Notes: Milos Raonic the only Top 10 player, and Ivo Karlovic the only Top 20 player in the field…First-round matches to look for are (4) Querrey vs. Sela who he is 2-2 against career, (7) Del Potro vs. Anderson in a meeting of former Delray champions, (4) Johnson vs. crafty fellow American (WC) Kozlov, and (1) Karlovic vs. Young in a rematch of the 2015 Delray final (winner to possibly meet Fritz)…Former world No. 2 Tommy Haas is also in the field during his pseudo-retirement-year tour…Wildcards went to Americans Querrey, Kozlov, and former French Open juniors winner Bjorn Fratangelo…Pulling from the main draw were Daniel Evans, Ryan Harrison, Thanasi Kokkinakis, and Adam Pavlasek…Querrey beat Rajeev Ram in last year’s all-American final…Former champs in the field are Querrey (2016), Karlovic (2015), Anderson (2012), Del Potro (2011), and Haas (2006)…From 1995-99 four different Aussies won the title in five years…Querrey looking to join Aussie Jason Stoltenberg (1995-96) as the only repeat winner in Delray.
