In answer to the question. Let’s see now :
1. He skipped a whole season of clay court tennis.
2. Been resting.
3. Claimed injury in Montreal.
4. Tanked to Delpo in US Open ( too scared to face in form Rafa in the next round).
5. Well rested for Shanghai.
6. Played Basel his home tourney (under contract).
7.Skipped Paris to avoid injury.
Soooo, considering the above, who’s the freshest ? And with Nadal not playing as well, who indeed do you think is gonna win WTF???
He’s a lock, no?

Well – Andy seemed to be able to bend and move without pain – he did show lack of match energy – looked tired a few times – but heck, if that’s all that wrong with him – it can only get better. Good that Fed. seemed to be enjoying himself. The doubles following should be really enjoyable.

Re. Kilts – 75% of all male guests at my nephew’s wedding in August (including all family members) wore kilts….dancing went on to 5.am in morning….

Humble Rafa; As we speak, the next invitation to play in Scotland is being prepared for you…..your fan-base insist you wear the kilt during your visit.

Obviously another draw made to order for Fed! All the guys with big, fast games on Fed’s side so the dear guy won’t get tired and the ones who will engage Nadal for hours are on the other side . Also Zverev and Cilic are already likely done for the season so cakewalk for the darling. I hope Nadal withdraws. It really is not worth risking his next season.

Congrats to Andy but I wish the second one was a boy! We could have looked forward to Andy Jr dominating the ATP 20 years from now! Oh well, I guess we can now dream of Sophia (or Margot or Judy or Kathy) doing a Serena Williams on the WTA. But curiously enough , as far as I know, none of the children of the previous gen greats have taken to tennis. Maybe the kids decided ( perhaps wisely) that they did not want any comparison.

Yep Margot – I gathered only today that the baby was born well
before the Andy vs Roger fest. I did see the exhibition but
only saw it from 2nd set on…I thought Andy wasn’t too bad –
but maybe I saw what I wanted to see… i.e. an improvement over Wimbledon
his hesitation about confirming attendance 2018 signals lots
more recovery needed.
