With Russian and Belarussian players banned at Queen’s, Halle may have added a few stars. This year’s edition features four of the Top 10 and seven of the Top 20.
Daniil Medvedev returns to No. 1 and leads the field followed by Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Felix Auger Aliassime, Hubert Hurkacz and Pablo Carreno Busta.
Karen Khachanov, Aslan Karatsev (who play each other) and Ilya Ivashka are among those who weren’t able to play Queen’s.
The tournament also will have Nick Kyrgios, Sebastian Korda and French quarterfinals Holger Rune.
An all-seeded quarterfinal would see Medvedev-Bautista Agut, Rublev-Khachanov, Hukacz-Auger Aliassime, PCV-Tsitsipas.
Last year, Ugo Humbert upset Rublev to win the title. Humbert upset Alexander Zverev and Auger-Aliassime en route.
