Fish Puts U.S. Back in Davis Cup World Group; Federer Missing
Roger Federer let Switzerland slide into obscurity, and also perhaps Federer’s chance of winning the Davis Cup before his career ends, when Switzerland was swept 5-0 by Kazakhstan in the Davis Cup World Group Playoffs. Federer ducked out of the match, citing a need for rest after losing in the semifinals of the US Open.

Djokovic Compares Win to Sex in Tuesday US Open Marathon
No. 3 seed Novak Djokovic is renowned for melting in the heat, but when he gutted out a five-set win from two sets down against Serb compatriot Viktor Troicki, the punch-drunk Djokovic in an on-court interview with ESPN’s Brad Gilbert afterward told the crowd regarding the win, “It was like sleeping with my girlfriend, it was that kind of feeling.”
