Gasquet, Bouncing Back, Deserves Support

People, do not for a slight second act like every guy leaving a match early lost accidentally, didn’t fake an injury, etc. People lose once they earned enough at a tournament. Tennis is lucky in that you earn money by showing your sweet face on the court, possibly among the lone professions where a loss still earns you a paycheck.

Federer Coasts, Murray Folds Gasquet at French Open

“The beginning is always important, coming back as defending champion and trying to get off to a good start,” Federer said. “It was a good first set for me, without any hiccups on my own serve. After that things were a bit easier. He had to push it a bit more. I could relax and towards the end I played some great dropshots. So it was a perfect match to start the French Open.”

Gasquet, Sharapova, Dulgheru, Argentina Win Titles Entering French

Maria Sharapova won her second title of the year on Saturday at Strasbourg, topping first-time finalist Kristina Barrios 7-5, 6-1 in the final. Sharapova was down a break late in the second set but got on top to win 10 of the last 11 games.
