The long-running Davis Cup-style ATP World Team Cup is no more, this year replaced by a 250-level tournament at The Rochusclub in Düsseldorf…Tough starts for (8) Davydenko vs. Tursunov, and 2nd rd. (2) Haas vs. Dodig…Wildcards went to Benjamin Becker, Haas and Juan Monaco…Pulls from the event included Nicolas Almagro, Grigor Dimitrov, Florian Mayer, Philipp Petzschner and Mikhail Youzhny.

Haas, Wawrinka, Pavlyuchenkova Win Tennis Titles
“I was complaining a little bit that these things weren’t working, so I think I just needed some positive words from Martina out there,” Pavlyuchenkova said. “She told me to keep playing my game and be more aggressive, and other things. It really helped.”

“I was a little bit nervous in the first set and part of the second,” Ferrer said. “But I tried to fight every point, to be focused and I had a good feeling in the final of the second set and of course in the third one.”

Haas Shocks No. 1 Djokovic at Sony Miami; Wed. Schedule
“All the credit to him,” Djokovic said. “He played a great match and he was the better player, no question about it. The results show everything. As far as I’m concerned, it’s definitely the worst match I have played in a long time.”
