- • Began playing tennis at age 5.
- • Father, Nerfid, has been running a tennis school since 1994; mother, Zaneta; brother, Zlatan.
- • Born soon after outbreak of Bosnian War in a hospital near Zetra Olympic Hall, which was destroyed but would later serve as location where he began playing tennis.
- • Left Sarajevo temporarily as an infant and did not meet his father until he was nearly 1 year old.
- • Later served as a ballboy at Sarajevo, BIH Challenger and studied political science at University of Sarajevo.
- • Admired Patrick Rafter and Roger Federer growing up.
- • Enjoyed tennis, skiing, football and acting as a child.
- • Acted in 2 movies: Grbavica (2006), as background actor, and Morderischer Frieden (2007), in which he played major role as Durcan.
- • Supports Bosnian football team FK Zeljeznicar.
- • Struggled with back, abdominal, shoulder and stomach injuries in 2019.
