So the situation is now pretty clear cut: should Novak play Paris- a full week prior to opening match so he should make it- all he has to do is either match or surpass Fed’s results at Paris and WTF then he shall bag year end no.1. All else would not matter interms of results. Right now you got to back Djokovic since Fed- in all likelihood- has to win Basel, reach final or win at Paris plus WTF. And also win at DC. That’s asking alot of a player at 33. Tough, tough ask IMO. I think if Novak wins Paris he seals it.

There are , I believe, several male equivalents to Jelena. including Jelenko. Not only would that connect with his mother, it would also be a nice tribute to the recently deceased Jelena Gencic, who coached the boy Novak with an emphasis on suppleness. Over to you, Nole!

Colin, you are right, there ia a name Jelenko but you can hardly find anybody with that name nowdays, people from the remote areas use to give that name, they believed that their son will be like jelen (deer). That was the reason of picking certain animals names for sons Vuk (Wolf) is still popular but not Jelen(ko), though the beer “Jelen” is most popular beer in Serbia:)

RZ, it isn’t the father who is responsible for multiple births, it’s the mother. Either the ovum splits after fertilisation, or the mother releases more than one ovum in the first place.

However, the father is responsible for the sex of the child.

Oh…..just got home….tuned into TX learned it’s a little boy for the Jokers! How wonderful. So happy for them…….little boys are a blast!! Hope everyone is doing good!! Their lives are changed forever……but I feel sure tennis is still going to RULE, after all its Novak’s occupation and he has a family to take care of……

Yes, it is the same name, we spell it as either Stefan or Stevan, two versions of the same name are very popular and we had our Kings and holly people from 11th/12th century named and spelt Stefan, coincidentally my church in Sydney is called St Archdeacon Stefan, have a look:

A baby does change a couple’s life, but Novak’s livelihood is tennis and he will continue playing because he has a family to provide for now. Of course if he chose not to, I’m sure he would survive with the earnings he has already acquired…..successful tennis players are very wealthy…..so no problem, mon! Best wishes to them!
