Champions Novak Djokovic And Serena Williams Dance To Night Fever At The Wimbledon Ball [Video]

A short while after capturing his 3rd Wimbledon title, Novak Djokovic was all dressed up for the traditional Wimbledon champions ball where he joined ladies’ winner Serena Williams for a dance:

“There was no practice,” Djokovic said Monday. “It’s a tradition that has been a bit forgotten – I think the last year they had a dance between the two champions was 1986. I was very pleased, because Serena is a great dancer.


“I had been thinking more of a waltz or something. Something sophisticated let’s say, something to blend in with the environment of the beautiful hall where we had the dinner yesterday. But Serena wanted to move a little bit more. So then we considered other options and ‘Night Fever’ came to life. So you can imagine how that looked!”

Props to Nole for setting up the dance and helping spotlight Serena as belle of the Ball. Very nice words from Djokovic after he won about Serena, his team, family, Hingis, Roger, the classy work of Wimbledon staff, and Hingis’ partners from India. Sania Mirza, and his buddy Leander Paes. Paes – who Novak spotted on the street giving an Indian TV interview, and graciously video bombed from a car across the street.

I know Fedal is more popular, but with Nole, Stan, Andy, Cilic – those other guys seem to have a view that it is not all about them. They acknowledge other contributors to the Tour, big and small, consistently. (Though Roger and Rafa have said many nice things about others, and hung with ballkids and treated juniors with consideration..not as consistently as Djokovic for example, seems to do…

djokovic not so well likeur among Atp organisers because he tends to be disrespectfull towards groundstaff of smaller tournees ballkids etc
He tries to pimp his image by interacting on camera’s with ball kids like we saw at Garros.
on of the reason he will never reach fanbase like fedal.
Thee are other reason maybe Ill get into those later.

I shall also make comments about the probable outcome or scenario’s tennis will get after US open. Midle part of slam season took place along the lines I directed. So you can feed of those probabilities upcomming weeks.
