Nick Kyrgios: I Want To Win A Grand Slam In The Next Year Or Two
Controversial Australian Nick Kyrgios is eyeing a Grand Slam title in the next few years.
“I’m looking to, you know, go really far in a grand slam and then almost win one in the next year or two,” Kyrgios told AFP at the IPTL.
After a tumultuous 2015 season, the 20-year-old added that he’s matured.
“I think I’ve matured a lot this year and I’ve learned a lot and I definitely feel that I’ve grown as a person and as a tennis player,” he added.
“I’ll do everything I can, so I think for my game it’s good. It brings energy and excitement, and I think that’s very important.”
Kyrgios finished the year ranked No. 30. After quarterfinals at 2014 Wimbledon and 2015 Australian, he is the first teen to reach multiple Grand Slam quarterfinals since Roger Federer at 2001 French Open and Wimbledon
