Good timing from GQ. A day after Roger Federer made headlines winning a fifth Indian Wells title, GQ released a video and pictures from a recent cover shoot they did with the Swiss.

The shoot took place in St. Moritz, Switzerland and it features Federer in the snow. Does anyone else get a “James Bond” vibe from the video?

In the accompanying article, Federer discusses a range of topics, and he admits he once had a poster of Pamela Anderson on his door! He also discussed when he’ll know when to retire.

“Every time it’s been: I’m happy to go (to a tournament),” he said. “I’m still doing the right thing in my heart. It’s a test. If that moment comes and I’m like, ‘Hmm…’ I’ve heard other players say the same thing. A friend went to the airport and turned around—he couldn’t go play that tournament; he needed to see his family. That’s probably the end of a career.”

HJF Says:

And so did alot of guys, sorry not getting the JB angel though ….

Giles Says:

Yep I saw that poster. He’s obviously a ” boobs” guy! Lol

Amit Says:

Lol Giles!!😛😛😛
😜😜😜

Margot Says:

That picture is horrible. Never in a million years did I think Fed could ever look seedy.

Van Persie Says:

^^ Looks more like an advertising for shampoo for feet hair.

Van Persie Says:

Rafa is the most photogenic among the guys from Big 4, when it comes to this sort of pictures.

Van Persie Says:

Correction for 3:44 legs hair, not feet hair…I was thinking initially of Frodo. Sorry.

Giles Says:

This is too funny, the comments I mean. Couldn’t resist posting. Lol

skeezer Says:

They had to cut and paste the worst pic GQ made out of the session. Fair enough. That pic looks like it came fresh out of the 70’s, “Boogie Nights”, lol. ouch!
Go to:

Waaaaay better pics of Fed, and a great write up.
He IS GQ. Hands down the best in a suit than the other guys.

skeezer Says:

^The video is there after the jump to the link. FYI Tennis X the Vid won’t show here….

Travis Bickle Says:

This photo has to be photoshopped.

Federer has always had cheesy sense of fashion (remember his Wimbledon gold & white suit with #15 emblazoned on it), but even he wouldn’t wear a wool-jacket and white shorts combo. It’s beyond cheesy, it’s plain and simply ridiculous! On top of everything, he is laying on top of a bunch of animal fur carcasses…

It is a professionally done photoshop, but a photoshop nonetheless, and probably by a Fed-hater. I don’t like Fed personally but would never photoshop him in to look ridiculous. That’s too personal and going too far!

It’s similar to vulgar photoshop images of Novak, a Fedal fanatic used to post a while ago at this site under Danica’s name (I think).

Margot Says:

If it’s a photoshop hating job, it seems a very odd to put on it a Fed lovin’ site. Perhaps Sean is having a snooze and hasn’t noticed?

Van Persie Says:

“This photo has to be photoshopped.”

TB, perhaps it is photoshopped, but I am wondering in this case, why on earth Tennis X staff would use it….or perhaps Roger has a “dark side”, which loves those kind of things. Who knows :)

HJF Says:

I Think they all look great in suits, something about a man in a suit, i had a feeling this image was a result of photo shopping, Federer to me is handsome enough, but doesnt have the type of looks that make me swoon, might be different for others, still each to their own ….

Van Persie Says:

^^ Totally agree, Willow

Van Persie Says:

^^ Sorry, HJF…

Wog Boy Says:

VP,

Eagle eye;)

Wog Boy Says:

He definitely can find a job in one of those establishments for ladies at Kings Cross, five star ones, though he would be more successful in men’s one…for men, what was the name of his “mate”…Gavin or something?;)

Disclaimer, it is legal here, you know what, don’t you? As long as there is no pimp involved, pimps are illegal in Australia, but the rest is ok.

Van Persie Says:

LOl WB,

When I am looking at that picture, I think something is missing….a fruit bowl, perhaps?

rognadfan Says:

WB knows way too much about these stuff, where its legal where its illegal and yet doesn’t fail to flaunt his hatred towards them every chance he gets. I am sure no one in the TX community will come to take your job away even if they find out.
Or is it like the Alabama Kids in the US being taught that Obama was coming to take away all of their guns? In case you didn’t know that didn’t happen.

Daniel Says:

The photo looks awful because of the fur and that he is lying. If he was standing up the “look/outfit” would work, jacquet and shorts I mean. The way he is lying made the shorts looks smaller and indeed has some saturation that makes it fake. The other 2 photos VP posted were great. Odd this one made the cut.

Daniel Says:

And he shouldn´t be wearing tennis NIKE socks. No socks with jacquet and shorts, Fashion 101;-)

Dennis Says:

To all those claiming to know that this is “photoshopped” Um, no. It is part of the photo shoot appearing in the upcoming GQ. Please do some research and focus on reading comprehension before making outlandish and unsubstantiated claims. The article itself points to the GQ source of the pic.

HJF Says:

I Think if you where a suit, you should where shoes not trainers, the trainers spoiled what was is a great look ….

Berghain Says:

Im a Fed fan, but honestly I think no man should wear shorts like that.

Times have changed.

HJF Says:

Sorry meant wear not where ….

Wog Boy Says:

rognadfan,
What excatly did you want to say? You just sound confused, your post doesn’t make any sense, settle down and try again.
About me “knowing to much”, it’s not only me, it is common knowledge, it’s the laws that everyone knows, yes, prostitution is legalized in Australia, you can work from your home, establishment, street corner and it’s is perfectly legal, even advertising in the local papers, why did you ask? Are you interested in moving here, that’s fine, but be aware it is cut throat industry and opposition is pretty tough, let me know in any case, I might be able to help you, I am part owner of one establishment, though I don’t have executive power, it is syndicate. Cheers mate

Berghain Says:

“I am part owner of one establishment”
Lol WG :)

Wog Boy Says:

Good to see you Berghain, how was Wiena, if I remember well.

You know, establishment is not quite like St Pauli in Hamburg, but it’s ok;)

Berghain Says:

hahah ah WB you make me laugh, yep nobody compares to Germany when it comes to cough-cough ‘establishments’.

Yeah it was great thx for asking. Just to much party and drinking. Every night we were out: Dinner, bars, clubs and so on… and Im happy to be home now. Was exhausting but I couldnt say no. You dont go on holiday and sleep. You get back on that horse haha.

I see Fed fans have been busy, causing you a headache ja?
I was happy to see he won. First time Feds won a masters 1000 in ages so some ppl are gonna go a little crazy. I find showboating kinda takes away the humility. Cant stop it though. Normal for all fan groups I suppose.

skeezer Says:

WB,
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-03-20/italy-s-struggling-economy-has-world-s-healthiest-people
Guess Almazan doesn’t rate. lol.
Novak should go switzerland or italian. You know, much healthier…

Margot Says:

Interesting apparent contradiction in there Skeeze. In America poverty is linked to obesity, whereas in Italy poverty is linked to health.
The answer is simple, those worried that Nole is underweight should send him to Louisiana at once….;)

Truth Says:

Fed loons have a problem with accepting the Truth.
No one cares about their hallucinations about Fed.
No one comes or disappears in forums for Fed loons.
Everyone has their own interests and does as they please,
but Fed and his floons seem to be so victimized.
He was here to heal the loons and laugh at his “rivals”. *snickers
Rivals that didn’t exist in 2003-6. The loons call him old but then they say no one rivals him at all.
They can’t have their cake and eat it too. Pobrecitos,

What a powerful man Fed is!
First, he was humbly losing but now Fed is here for “his legendary Phoenix rising from the ashes” because he’s facing injured “elderly” opponents, in draws that don’t distinguish between talents and the “aging” effects or “bravery and pretty ballet moves”. Their Fed has no real injury or inborn physical troubles. His fake injury from the 2014 year end championship must always show up to make him look “old”.
Poor dude. He said “I’m older and need recovery for Davis Cup”…

Wog Boy Says:

From the link which is actually famous Mediterranean diet:

“Then there is the diet, rich in vegetables and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Adam Drewnowski, director of the Center for Public Health Nutrition at the University of Washington, has written about the importance of consumers having access to fresh produce, fruit, lean meats and fish.”

Is their anything in that link that majority of Nole fans including me are not saying? Nole is not eating anything from that diet, he eats raw vegetables and boiled (steamed) pasta or rice, no olive oil, no fish, no lean meat, no sugar…no results on tennis courts!
Stop embarrassing yourselves (both of you) and making fulls of yourselves by posting the link that actually supported what most of Nole fans keep saying, incluing myself.

Wog Boy Says:

One more thing, being poor by Europen standards doesn’t mean people don’t eat meat, or don’t eat well, they don’t have some other things but food in the culture of Mediterranean nations is paramount and religious experience, educate yourselves. We were not rich by any standards and means when I was growing up in Eastern Europe, but it had to be meat on the table every day, regardless in what shape, but it was a MUST, meat, cheese and milk and fresh salad.

Wog Boy Says:

^^^ and soup, soup everyday as a part of the lunch meal, chicken soup, beef soup, fish soup, but always soup, something to eat with a spoon.

skeezer Says:

Truth,
Your bitter bite has no teeth. Just sayin..

skeezer Says:

WB,
There are many diets by many other cultures that are good….and bad for athletes. Novak has a team who is looking after his physical, mental and nutritional needs. They work for him, they are the payroll, no? If you feel so confident you know better for him, call him and tell him yourself and ask for a job application.
My feeling is there is something other than his diet that is causing his recent decline. But that is just me.
—-
Margot,
lol, have you tried food from there? Awesomely great, but then not so healthy. Gumbo, Crawfish, Jambalaya, red beans and rice, hushpuppies……and ….wait for it……BEIGNETS!….Yum!

Wog Boy Says:

What else to expect from Federer fan and fake Nole fan but to be happy with where is Nole atm, what’s new here?:)

Wog Boy Says:

I promised to keep you up to date with Almazan’s and Mr Ramsay’s wonders, so here it is, very very lean meat:

https://youtu.be/HKEUYr2KT0A

Markus Says:

Truth is a misnomer.

Margot Says:

Skeeze had to google a couple. Beignets….for breakfast? Yikes!
Markus: in the age of POTUS alternative facts and fake news rule. Tennisx is no different.

madmax Says:

Margot, it is truly horrific. Have no idea why GQ would have published a photo like that. It reminds me of the rugs they sell at Swedish airports. Yuk. And men who wear socks like that? No.

Skeezer, the Ron Burgundy skits – Fed looks like Ron Burgundy – afternoon delight!

However, the most cheesy, but fun, was the Stayin’ Alive, (too funny).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO0wbvQ4GSw

At least Fed has a sense of humour.

madmax Says:

Wogboy,

You need to get out more often, or start writing recipes.

madmax Says:

Nah, I think Tom Gainey has a sense of Humour and so does Fed.

Unless your name is Will Ferrell, you have no right looking like this!

Markus Says:

Margot: Hehehe, you’re right about that. I suppose Truth’s full name is Alternative Facts.

madmax Says:

Truth sounds like Stephen Miller. :-(

Okiegal Says:

@MADMAX 5:06…….. The best thing about your link was the Bee Gees………..Love those guys!!! Awesome music……’makes me want to hit the Disco…..even at 71 I can still bust a move!! Lol
