Posted on March 20, 2006

JACKSONVILLE, Fla (March 20, 2006) --, the web's tennis news and opinion leader, has announced the search for the Next Great Tennis Blogger, featuring a contest running from the first week of the NASDAQ-100 in Miami through the French Open in June.

The contest is open to anyone who registers for free with the message board, with contest details on the General Discussion board under the "2006 Tennis-X Blogging Contest" thread.

"There are some incredibly talented fans that contribute some great stuff on our message board," said Editor Luke Johnson. "As the premier internet tennis website for news and cutting commentary, we want to expand our blogging. We took a look around, most of the stuff out there is crap, so we're going to start with fans on our own message board and others who enter, and hopefully help launch the career of a talented writer."

The winning blogger will receive a prize package, a weekly blog on, and the opportunity to shine as the blogs are released around the world as part of the newsfeed, read by the movers and shakers of the tennis industry who subscribe to the "Daily Dish" newsletter.

For complete rules, go to is the tennis news leader on the internet, each morning (EST) by 9 a.m. serving virtual tennis coffee with the "Daily Dish," and results and opinion on the world of men's and women's professional tennis from award-winning writers. For more visit
