2024 PARIS OLYMPICS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Courts:12 match courts and 6 training courts. Practice will begin on-site from Saturday 20th July.

Events:
There will be five separate events contested at Paris 2024:
1) Men's Singles: 64 draw
2) Women's Singles: 64 draw
3) Men's Doubles: 32 draw
4) Women's Doubles: 32 draw
5) Mixed Doubles: 16 draw

Format:
Men’s/Women’s Singles - Best of 3 tie-break sets
Men’s/Women’s Doubles - Best of 3 tie-break sets (match tie-break 3rd set)
Mixed Doubles - Best of 3 tie-break sets (match tie-break 3rd set)

Qualification Criteria (How do players qualify?):
Men's / Women's Singles
Each singles event shall consist of a draw of 64 athletes, with a maximum of four (4) athletes per NOC.
- 56 Direct Acceptances, based on the Singles Rankings of 10 June 2024
- 1 Host Country Place
- 6 Final Qualification Places (“ITF Places”)
- 1 Universality Place

Men's / Women's Doubles
The men’s and women’s Doubles events shall consist of a draw of 32 teams, each comprising of athletes from the same NOC, with a maximum of two (2) teams per NOC.
32 teams will qualify for the men’s and women’s Doubles events as follows:
- 1 Host Country Place
- 31 Direct Acceptances

Mixed Doubles
The Mixed Doubles event shall consist of a draw of 16 teams, each comprising of athletes from the same nation, with a maximum of one (1) team per NOC.
16 teams for the Mixed Doubles event will qualify as follows:
- 1 Host Country Place
- 15 Direct Acceptances

Eligibility:
The player must satisfy and comply with the provisions of the Olympic Charter in force from time to time, including but not limited to Rule 41 (Nationality of Competitors) or any replacement or successor provision. 7.1.2 The player must be in good standing with their national sports association responsible for the sport of tennis (National Association) and the ITF in accordance with the ITF Davis Cup Regulations or the ITF Billie Jean King Cup Regulations in force at the time of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (whether directly or as a result of an exemption being granted). The player must be eligible to represent the country of the National Association and National Olympic Committee (NOC) that nominates the player by satisfying the Eligibility to Represent a Nation rule contained in the ITF Davis Cup Regulations and the ITF Billie Jean King Cup Regulations in force at the time of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

About:
The 2024 Olympic tennis tournament will be the 17th edition of tennis at the Olympics (excluding the two Olympics, 1968 and 1984, when tennis was a demonstration event), and the eighth since 1988, when the sport was officially brought back into the Games.
