Roger Federer says don't expect the 100 percent Club Fed arsenal today in the exhibition final at Kooyong against No. 2 Andy Roddick.
"I think it's more in a defensive situation, just going to make sure you're not going to pull a muscle," said Federer, wary of the rash of injuries among players heading into the Australian Open. "I might just hold back on a couple of stretch balls, which maybe you are going to lose a point anyway, the chances are so small."
Federer has a difficult first-round draw at the Australian Open against "The Original Magician," Fabrice Santoro of France, whose slicing and dicing two-handed game has given the Swiss problems in the past.
Also on tap in Kooyong is Andre Agassi, who will determine if his problematic hip is healthy enough for play next week with an exhibition match today against Tim Henman.
