Flavia Pennetta, a runner-up last week at Bogota, is the top seed this week at the Abierto Mexicano de Tenis in Acapulco.

Anna Smashnova, and Japan's
Shinobu Asagoe.
In the second round Pennetta could face
Lourdes Dominguez Lino who defeated her in the final last week at Bogota.
In last year's final the top-seeded Pennetta came from a set down to beat Slovak
Ludmila Cervanova 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.
