Almagro Outlasts Moya in Thrilling ATP Brasil Open Final

Nicolas Almagro beat former French Open and champ and No. 1-ranked player Carlos Moya 7-6(4), 3-6, 7-5 to win the ATP title in Costa do Sauipe on Sunday at the Brasil Open.

Almagro failed to serve out the match at 5-4 in the third after breaking at 4-4, but broke again to close it our at 7-5.

It was the third career ATP title for Almagro after titles at Valencia in 2006-07.

Moya fell to 20-23 in career finals.
