Dear Jamie,
This is not tennis related at all although I am so pleased to hear that you are doing well at your chosen sport. Instead I am writing to you as a fellow ITP sufferer. Of course I was not pleased to hear that you had the dreaded low platelet count too but I was nevertheless interested to hear of another sufferer. Nobody seems to have heard of ITP, even the doctors seem to be at rather a loss as to how to treat it. Like yourself my symptoms showed in April 2008 and my count then was only 2,000. However, things have improved a little since then and with regular monthly checks I have learnt to gain confidence once more.
I want to wish you well in the future and shall be rooting for you in your forth coming matches.
With best wishes
Carol Gibson
