Iga Swiatek‘s bagel bakery was back is business for a special Sunday brunch at the French Open. The world No. 1 hammered Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 6-0 in just 40 minutes. There were 58 total points played and Swiatek won 48 of them!

“I was just really focused and really in the zone,” Swiatek told the crowd. “I wasn’t really looking at the score so I just continued playing my game and working on the stuff that I wanted to work on.

The match was the shortest of Swiatek’s career.

“It went pretty quickly, pretty weird,” she said.

Swiatek will now face former finalist Marketa Vondrousova who breezed past qualifier Olga Danilovic 6-4, 6-2. Vondrousova, who won Wimbledon last summer, will now have to beat Swiatek, then likely Coco Gauff with Aryna Sabalenka in the final.

Gauff tried to match Swiatek but still had an easy day rolling past Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-1, 6-2. Gauff is into her 4th straight French Open quarterfinal. Not bad for someone who’s only 20.

“This week I feel like I’ve been managing and playing well,” Gauff said. “It’s definitely, I feel, tough conditions to play in. It’s just really slow and muggy. The weather makes you maybe not as hyped up for your match just naturally. This week at Roland Garros has been a little bit different than the past first weeks.”

Next for Gauff is Ons Jabeur. The 2-time Wimbledon finalist knocked out Danish 21-year-old Clara Tauson 6-4, 6-4. It’s Jabeur’s second straight year into the French Open quarters.

“I think [Tauson] hits the ball really well, really hard,” Jabeur said to the wTA. “She has a good serve, but today I was trying not to really bother her with my slices and kind of play the whole court. I think it really worked really well because at certain times she didn’t know where to move exactly.”

The two quarters, including Jabeur-Gauff, from the top half will be played on Tuesday.

Gauff leads Jabeur 4-2 including a 6-3, 6-1 win in the 2021 French fourth round.

“I love how Coco plays, and I love how Coco talks in general,” Jabeur said. “I think she’s really mature for her age. She’s really an amazing person as well.

“It’s going to be definitely a difficult match. She’s such a fighter, you know, on the court. I hope I can play good and I can play my game because I know I can bother her as well. But it’s going to be definitely a great fight between us.”
