Johansson is also dating Hewitt's sister Jaslyn.

Hewitt and Johansson, frequent practice partners, have never faced each other on tour, while Henman has won six of his eight encounters with Federer, splitting two this year.

"The good thing for me is that I won our last match in the final at Indian Wells this year," Federer said. "That obviously gives me a lot of confidence, but Tim always puts me under pressure. He comes at you all the time. In Indian Wells I served well, and I was dominant from the baseline which was very important."

In the doubles final the Bahamian-Canadian duo of No. 3 seeds Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor defeated No. 13 seeds Leander Paes of India and David Rikl of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-3 for their second Grand Slam title after the 2002 Australian Open.

In the process the duo overtook American twins Bob and Mike Bryan for No. 1 on the ATP Team Rankings. The Bryan's results have suffered this summer due to the play of Mike, who will likely require hip surgery before the end of 2004.

Nestor and Knowles have now won four titles this year including Marseille, Barcelona, and the Masters Series-Cincinnati.
