Davenport, Molik Out at WTA Beijing

Only two matches Monday at the WTA stop in Beijing, but two seeds are already out -- No. 1 Lindsay Davenport withdrawing due to a back injury, and No. 5 Alicia Molik ousted in three sets by Argentina's Mariana Diaz-Oliva.

In the other lone main draw match, Japanese wildcard Ai Sugiyama defeated countrywoman Akiko Morigami in straight sets.

The qualifying was also completed Monday with the final four onto the big dance in Tatiana Panova (RUS), Aiko Nakamura (JPN), Jamea Jackson (USA), and Emma Laine (FIN).

Scheduled for Tuesday are Nakamura vs. Pennetta, Panova vs. T.Sun, Kirilenko vs. Jackson, Laine vs. Peng, Llagostera Vives vs. Jidkova, and N.Li vs. Craybas.
