Five Slam Winners Headline Lawn Play at WTA Eastbourne

Five Grand Slam winners headline the Hastings Direct International Championships this week in Eastbourne, England on the lawns the week before Wimbledon in current No. 1 Amelie Mauresmo, former No. 1s Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin-Hardenne, US Open winner Svetlana Kuznetsova and French Open champ Anastasia Myskina.
Other seeds are Italy's Francesca Schiavone, German Anna-Lena Groenefeld, and Slovak Daniela Hantuchova.
In last year's final the No. 7-seeded Clijsters rolled Russian qualifier Vera Douchevina 7-5, 6-0.
On court Monday in Eastbourne are Sugiyama vs. Srebotnik, Hantuchova vs. Likhovtseva, Dechy vs. Peer, Schiavone vs. O'Brien, and Ruutel vs. Morigami.
