Powerful Russian Dmitry Tursunov continued riffing off his Davis Cup-hero high with a 7-6(2), 3-6, 6-1 win over top seed Tommy Robredo Saturday to advance to the finals in Mumbai.

"Frankly, I didn't play well enough to win, but Tommy wasn't playing well," Tursunov said of the Spaniard who has been talking up his hopes of reaching the year-end Masters Cup as one of the Top 8. "I think he got a bit tense during the match."

Tursunov, who defeated Andy Roddick 17-15 in the memorable clincher in Russia's semifinal Davis Cup win Sunday, earned his third straight three-set victory, and the 23-year-old stands on the brink on breaking into the Top 20.

In the final Tursunov will face the big-hitting No. 3 seed Tomas Berdych, a 7-6(2), 6-2 victor over lefty Stefan Koubek. Berdych is seeking his first title since winning the Paris crown last year. The Czech star lost in his only prior final of the year to Roger Federer in the Halle final.

Tursunov will seek his first career ATP title.
