Other unseeded players into the second round were France's Nicolas Mahut (d. Berlocq), Italian Alessio Di Mauro (d. (WC) El Aarej), Algerian wildcard Slimane Saoudi (d. (Q) Skoch), and Czech Jan Vacek (d. Ramirez-Hidalgo in three).
