Favorites Federer, Henin Feature Monday at Wimbledon

World No. 1 Roger Federer kicks off play Monday at the All England Club, with the three-time defending champ facing talented Frenchman Richard Gasquet in an attempt to win his 42nd consecutive grasscourt match, breaking Bjorn Borg's all-time record.

"It's one of the toughest draws I've had in a long time," Federer said, with Tim Henman and Tommy Haas also thrown in as possible early opponents. "But to win the tournament, you've got to beat everybody, so that's obviously my aim. But it's not an easy draw, that's for sure."

Other matches of interest Monday include (4) Nalbandian vs. Moodie, Henman vs. Soderling, (8) Blake vs. Pless, (7) Ancic vs. Almagro, (32) Mathieu vs. Philippoussis, (19) Haas vs. Vanek, Fabrice "The Magician" Santoro vs. Wayne "The Serving Machine" Arthurs, (13) Berdych vs. Hernych in an all-Czech, and (12) T.Johansson vs. Bjorkman in an all-Swedish.

On the women's side No. 3 seed Justine Henin-Hardenne follows Federer on the stadium court against China's Meng Yuan, with other matches of interest including (2) Clijsters vs. Zvonareva, (12) Hingis vs. Savchuk, (5) Kuznetsova vs. Oprandi, (15) Hantuchova vs. Camerin, (8) Schnyder vs. Ant. Serra "Nevada" Zanetti, former force Karolina "The Spreminator" Sprem vs. Keothavong, and (10) Vaidisova vs. Klara "Kouky" Koukalova.
