Two giants of their sports met in Shanghai. Roger Federer, one of the all-time greats on the tennis court, posed with the towering Chinese basketball legend Yao Ming. At 7-foot-6, Ming is taller than just about everyone on the planet but never has Federer looked so small! Here’s the hilarious result:

Federer is on court today against Leonardo Mayer playing his first tournament since the US Open.

LOL sweet picture,i am in fact only 5 foot 3,yet there is an old lady whos 102 in the care home where i work who comes only to my shoulders,so not many people make my feel tall….

@Hippy Chick – I’m the same height as you. Once at a friend’s house, I was asked to grab something from the top shelf since I was the tallest person there. Doesn’t happen often!

Watching Andy’s match today, I thought Janowicz has what I call a pituitary face, if only to a slight degree: big-boned, with a square, jutting jaw.In extreme cases an overactive pituitary gland results in acromegaly (think of the late Richard “Jaws” Kiel).

Before modern medicine enabled some treatment,pituitary giants usually declined and died early, even those who when young were fit enough to play sports.

The Argentinian ex-basketball player who wrestled as Giant Gonzalez, in a silly sort of body stocking with muscles painted on it, died wheelchair bound at age 44. Yao Ming looks in good shape. Wasn’t he photographed with Tsonga a while ago?

The tallest man I ever saw was in a show when I was a boy – a Netherlander named Jan Van Albert, who was billed as 9 feet 3 in but was really about 7 feet 8 (an inch or two taller than Yao Ming.
