Andy Murray Pulls Out Of Davis Cup, Novak Djokovic Will Play
On Tuesday the ITF released their official team rosters for the Davis Cup quarterfinals next weekend. The top two in the world, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, are both battling elbow injuries and were in doubt for the event.
And it’s Murray who will not play while Djokovic will compete for Serbia as they meet Spain, who will not have the services of Rafael Nadal in part because the tie, played on hard court, conflicts with his clay preparations.
Murray is still scheduled to play in Monte Carlo as is Djokovic and Nadal.
Nick Kyrgios, Jack Sock, David Goffin and Gilles Simon are among the other top names to play.
