Marin Cilic 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals of the Studena Croatia Open in Umag. Wawrinka improved to a career-best 19-17 on the season. Last year he returned a 16-16 record after failing to win one match in seven attempts in 2004.
